The Pipestone County Museum is hosting an Opening Reception for the new exhibit gallery which was formerly the Masonic Dining Room, on Thursday, May 23, 4-6pm. The public is invited to take in the new space featuring music-oriented objects from the Museum’s collection, including instruments, sheet music, record albums, equipment and more.
The Pipestone County Historical Society opened up a doorway between the Museum and the Ferris Grand Block in the spring of 2018. The two buildings adjoin and when the Masons gifted the Ferris Grand Block to the Pipestone County Historical Society in 2015, plans were made to expand exhibit space. This doorway connects Gallery III in the Museum to what was originally the Dining Room of the Masonic Hall. The space is vast and after many months of ceiling repair, painting and cleaning, it is now open to the public as part of a regular Museum tour. The Masonic Lodge room itself is open for tours upon request and will be kept separate from this new exhibit space.
The Pipestone County Museum is located at 113 South Hiawatha Avenue in Pipestone, MN. If you have any questions, please call the Pipestone County Museum at 507-825-2563 or email at email@example.com.
